You may want to link Tom Christiansen's reviews on PERL books:

http://language.perl.com/critiques/index.html

The list should perhaps be added to:

http://www.ercb.com/links.reviews.html

Subject: Dead Links

On the Dr. Dobb's Electronic Review of Computer Books - "B" - all the links to "ACCU" are all dead.  It brings up a "File not found" message.

Just thought you should check that out.

Thanks.

Tim Heeg

Sadly I don't have the time any more to scour the web for individual computer book reviews, type them into a database, and keep all the links up to date, so I have removed the "archive of links to book reviews" until further notice.

Subject: Review of Essential Windows NT System Administration

Thank You! for daring to face into the bracing winds of Microsoft's marketing blitzkreig and tell it like it is. I don't have your level of experience with NT nor Ms. Frisch's, in fact, I've only got 1 year of NT experience. Coming from an IntranetWare background NT administers like a real "johnny-come-lately" to the networking field. I will buy the book on your recommendation, not out of love for NT, simply to reduce my blood pressure.

Thanks again to you, Ms. Frisch, and O'Reilly.

David Sanger, CNE

Subject: Visual Explanations

Hi there. I realize that your review of Edward Tufte's Visual Explanations has probably been up on the site for quite some time. Please accept my thanks for that review, but I hope you will not mind my pointing out that despite your reference to and excerpts from the chapter "Explaining Magic," nowhere do you note that in fact that chapter was co-written by myself, a fact generally mentioned by reviewers where appropriate.

Kindest Regards,

Jamy Ian Swiss

Thanks for the note. I have amended the review to include this information.
